Undescended Testicles
|
Undescended testicles are more common in premature infants, but can occur in any child. Your doctor will monitor your child carefully and if the testicle does not descend by itself by the time he is one year old, then he may need surgery to repair it. Highly retractile testicles, in which the testicle can descend into the scrotum, but pulls back up at times, are normal and do not need treatment.
