Vision Problems
Teenagers with vision problems are most commonly nearsighted, meaning that they can see near objects, but have difficulty seeing objects that are far away. Nearsightedness is usually detected after your child is at least two years old and may worsen until he becomes a teen. It requires corrective eye glasses or contact lenses as treatment.

Children may also less commonly be farsighted, and are able to see far objects, but have difficulty with objects that are nearby. It can also be corrected with eye glasses or contact lenses.

Astigmatism is another condition that can cause your child to have blurry vision. It is caused by an uneven curvature to cornea or lens of the eye. This condition may also require corrective lenses.
